Happy Fit Tip Friday!!!
When I ask the question…What’s stopping you from becoming physically active? The number one answer is time. We live in a world where the norm of each day is a hustle and bustle which leaves zero time for exercise. So I want to encourage you to get active! According to the CDC, individuals who engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity (based on a scale of 1-10, that’s anywhere between 4-6) can improve their health and reduce their risk of chronic disease. So let’s see how we can get in 30 minutes of exercise for 5 days a week!!!! If time is an issue, let’s start by trying to get in three 10 minute mini workouts!! Try these three tips and let me know how it goes!!

  1. Schedule your workouts throughout your day. Example- If you get a 15 minute break at work, use it to go for a walk or if you have stairs, walk the stairs for 10 minutes.
  2. Find a workout partner. This could be a coworker, friend, family member or a child.
  3. Try three 10 minute mini workouts. Wake up a little early to get in 10 minutes before work, 10 minutes on your break and 10 minutes before you shower.
